Get to know the people behind the products you trust! This month, we’re featuring Eric Yocum, Maintenance Engineering Lead - who has been with Eagle for 29 years! Join us in celebrating their hard work and dedication!

What do you like most about working here at Eagle?
Collaborating with most departments to achieve the best outcome for our products. I’ve gained much knowledge and help from: Marketing, Spec Fab/Quoting, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, Automation, Routings, Production Control, Shop floor production, Quality Control, & Service. I like seeing our products beginning to end.

What piece of advice would you give to others in your role?
Always put forth the effort to add as much detail as possible. The extra communication will make the design more successful, plus it’s a historic manual for future questions or service calls… and to always, always - have prints for purchased parts.

What was your first job?
I was a surveyor in my first job. Recorded measurements of property and used AutoCAD to verify or draw land plots.

What is your favorite movie?
I always loved to watch “Legends of the Fall” – Brings awareness to love and relationships, and don’t forget Colonel Ludlow, “Screw’em”!

What was the first concert you ever attended?
My first concert was to see Metallica in 1998.

If money and time were no object, what would you be doing right now?
Travel around the country and spend weeks at a time enjoying the food and entertainment of places. I would also buy all the food and items for all the people around me that needed it. You know, being human with all that status.

What sport would you want to compete in if you were in the Olympics?
Table Tennis, but that’s only until Air Hockey is added.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Dragon-hearted. Husband. Father.
